My Mother's Story
Margaret Lopez is a woman who doesn't regard herself as
extraordinary, but she could not be more wrong. Her
story is one of resourcefulness, tenacity, and faith, that resonates across generations and cultures, and is the embodiment of the American dream. Perhaps she said it best herself, "I didn't think my life was too interesting, but I guess it was." Click here to view the full documentary.
A Surfing Pioneer
George Strempel's story is like a history of modern surfing. He began surfing in 1942, and besides a brief hiatus in the navy during WWII, never stopped until his body was worn out. His life is like a history of modern surfing. He was there for paddle boards, redwoods, balsas, hot curls, and fiberglass. He collaborated with the great surfing innovators of the twentieth century. He's a founding member of the San Onofre Surfing Club, and an inductee of the Huntington Beach Walk of Fame. He's also a true gentleman, and all around nice guy.
